The Pritzker Children's Zoo offers a wide variety of both educational and recreational activities, and good, clean fun for the whole family.
The animals in the children's zoo are all very friendly. The Pygmy goats will undoubtedly amaze you with their speed and agility as they leap and climb. We also have a petting corner where you can pet and feed domestic rabbits and guinea pigs. Please note the opening hours for the petting corner.

With its remarkable facilities, our playground is an irresistible attraction for children. As for the parents, they can keep a watchful eye on their little ones while relaxing on the spacious and well-kept lawn, or while sitting on the chairs at the adjacent snack bar.

Our Friendly Animal Houses, each known in Hebrew as a Bayit Hai, are classrooms that are designed to allow for guided, hands-on encounters between the visiting public and a variety of kid-friendly animals. One of the classrooms was donated by the San Diego (California) New Leadership Group of the Jerusalem Foundation; the other is named The Lotte Salzberger House for Children and Animals.

Activities are geared mainly to schoolchildren, children participating in zoo-sponsored workshops, and children with special needs. During holidays and vacations, the guided activities in the classrooms are open to the general public. Visitors are seated on carpets and the animals are brought to them. The zoo guides cheerfully provide explanations and directions regarding proper handling.

The species represented in the Bayit Hai classrooms include chinchillas, ferrets, guinea pigs, rabbits, turtles, tortoises, a variety of snakes and lizards, and other animals.

The Noah's Ark Sculpture Garden

An exotic new playground is now open to the public. A project of the Jerusalem Foundation, the sculpture garden was designed by sculptress Niki de Saint Phalle (creator of the renowned Mifletzet or "Monster" children's slide in Kiryat HaYovel) and architect Mario Botta. It comprises some 23 works of art in the form of gigantic and colourful creatures of fantasy. The garden is primarily a playground, and many of the creations are meant for children to climb on. The sculptures surround a large model of Noah's Ark.

The sculpture garden is situated adjacent to the Children's Zoo.
